Whenever I DJ, if it’s a private event,
wedding, etcetera,
I always have a chat with the people and say, look,
you know, send me some songs,
send me a playlist, like,
gives you an idea of what you’re into.
Most of the time it’s like,
you know, 50 songs on there,
not much gives me a flavour.
Marvelous. But a couple of months ago,
I had this conversation with an event organiser
who sent me a playlist of 400 songs.
And to add insult to injury,
he sent me a playlist of 100 do not play songs.
So this person was expecting me to sit and download 500 songs
for a gig that was going to last three hours.
I was just like, madam,
madam, we’ve gotta have to have a chat about this,
cause that does not work for me.
