Embracing the Power of Makeup: A Journey Towards Self-Confidence and Normalcy

my sitter just got here and I’m putting on some like
last minute touch UPS to my makeup
and I just I’m here to say that like
I actually did forget during pregnancy
how I did not feel like I looked like myself for nine months
and that’s really hard
um
so today I just kinda like
had one of those days where like
I don’t know it’s like
wasn’t feeling cute I
I don’t know it actually has nothing to do with my weight
it has everything to do with like
I just feel like I look tired and not as like glamorous
but I will say we’re going out to dinner um
with a few friends tonight and like
it’s amazing what
a little well
a lot of mascara bronzer
and
like a nude lip can do
you know so
god bless the power of makeup
and I’m just here to say that like
whatever it is that you’re going through
if you don’t feel like yourself
sometimes you just gotta pull it together
I remember postpartum like
both of my kids with both of my little ones anyway
like
I did my makeup almost every single day
cause that’s the only thing that made me feel normal
and I think that I’m gonna need to start doing that um
for a pregnancy because it makes me feel like me
and it makes me feel more confident and like
I just feel better about myself
so
anyway that was my Ted talk for today
and I think that maybe we all just need to be
not so hard on ourselves
we’re almost critic you know
