The watch market has dropped.
Here are some of the biggest price differences from the last two years.
This is the Rolex GMT Sprite.
At the height of the market in April 22,
when these were first released,
46 and a half thousand pounds.
Today it’s around 15 and a half thousand pounds.
The Rolex Waste Perpetual 41 mil Tiffany dial was selling for £35,000.
Absolutely crazy for a watch which at the time retailed at 4,700.
This watch is today 17 8:50,
nearly 50% off. This is the AP Royal Oak High.
At the market, these were over £55,000.
Today yours for 24 9:50. The Rolex GMT root beer in rose gold.
These were also selling for 52 to 55,000 pounds.
This is a 2023 model and it’s today 33,000.
There we have one of my favorite watches
and a bit of a sore subject for me
because I actually own one of these watches,
exact same as this, and I sold this to a client for £75,000.
In the height, they’re now at £40,000,
which is less than I paid for my one as well.
But, you know,
at the time, he went to take mine for 75,
didn’t sell, you know,
made a bit of money. Now I’m at a loss,
but still a great watch. This is the Vacheron overseas.
And one of the biggest price differences I have to showcase today
is this. This is the Rolex Dale 8:40 in platinum
with the olive green Arabic Script out.
And the TBR baguette bezel.
The height of the market is what,
over a quarter million pounds today? 130,000.
So, you know,
50% loss on something of that figure.
That is absolutely insane.
So that’s an example of some of the biggest price differences from now
as supposed to the height of the market two years ago.
Do you think I’ve missed anything out?
Let me know in the comments below
and we can discuss that on the next video. Thanks for tuning in.
