Roof Wing Installation: A Step-by-Step Guide with 3M Sticky Tape

Today I’m installing this beautiful roof wing on my 1998 E36.
I’m using this 3M sticky tape,
double sided. It’s gotta be the auto one.
Don’t ask me why wax and tar remover we always using this.
I don’t have a microfiber,
so a paper towel had to do.
It’s gonna work starting off
by wiping off the surface that we’re gonna put the tape onto.
Quick little test fit just to see where I’m gonna place this down.
Quick little unboxing of the tape.
Iron up the location where I’m gonna put this tape on the spoiler.
Then I went and got busy. This part’s a little tedious,
but you just gotta get through it.
Make sure I fold down all the edges onto the spoiler
and it really sticks on there.
Here’s my finished product.
I think it looks pretty nice.
If you don’t think so, I think you’re blind.
Grab a buddy, aka your father,
if you have one. Oh,
my god, look at that shirt.
Isn’t it so sick? You like it,
go buy one on my website. But having a buddy,
a partner, a father at this point
is gonna help you place this down and get it exactly where you want.
You wanna make sure you press it down good,
and it creates that unbreakable bond we’re all searching for.
Now you gotta get a little creative.
I got these Home Depot buckets
filled with water on top of these two by fours
just to Keep that pressure on there for a couple hours.
Voila. This is the final product.
Very clean, very sleek,
very low key.
Nothing too bulky like some of these roof wings I’ve been seeing.
But I’m interested. What do you guys think?
Did you guys like it? Did you guys hate it?
Let me know in the comments.
And y’all stay safe. I’mma catch you on the next one.
