If you haven’t checked out this film yet,
it’s one that I frequently,
highly recommend people check out.
So if you haven’t checked out this one,
I personally think that it is a must watch.
It’s called mid 90s. It takes place in Los Angeles in the 1990s.
A 13 year old boy, played by Sunny Suljic,
has a pretty rough time at home.
And he’s currently spending his summer in that troubled home,
as well as spending most of his time
with his new skateboarding buddies.
And in the process of hanging out with these friends,
learns a lot of valuable life lessons.
This is directed by Jonah Hill,
in which it’s his directorial debut.
And the way he captures the life of a newly formed teenager
is really profound.
Jonah Hill created this movie based off of his experiences in the 90s,
so there’s a lot of authenticity when it comes to the film itself.
But there was also a new level of connection
that we have with Jonah Hill
after watching this movie.
It is without question,
one of the purest films that we got in recent years.
And every single time I rewatch it,
it’s just so emotional. I didn’t even grow up in the 90s
and I have such a big connection with this movie.
