Exploring Dublin: A High School Football Experience.

I’m Jacob Hanson. I’m from Green Bay, Wisconsin.
I’m Philip Sheb. I’m from Frankfurt,
Germany. And you’re based in Florida,
is your school? Yes, yes.
Very good. Very good.
Um, how have you found Douglas so far?
I like. I mean,
weather hasn’t been the best,
but, like,
being here is a new experience.
I definitely like it so far.
Uh, it’s definitely a lot colder.
I can tell that much. But it’s.
It’s a pretty nice city. Yeah,
we have two seasons, winter and July.
So it’s a. It’s tough.
It’s tough. Um,
and who are you taking on tomorrow?
Um, Episcopal School of Dallas.
Have you played them before or.
No, sir.
No, sir.
We’re excited for the game.
What’s it like kind of playing abroad?
I know you must do a lot of travel. Generally, yeah.
Within the States, coming out,
coming out to Dublin, and experiencing a new match day culture.
What’s that? Yeah,
it’s definitely a lot, like,
a lot more prep into it. Like,
we leave a lot of days early.
We’re practicing here. It’s a lot of missed sleep on that long.
We had a long flight here,
but it’s definitely worth it.
It’s a good experience for us.
And what have you done so far in Dublin?
Like, in terms of activities?
Have you gone to a few?
We visited a castle. I forgot my castle.
Oh, brilliant.
So that was. That was fun.
Just got a lot of food, had practice.
The Usual type of stuff. But it’s been fun.
And what positions do you play?
I’m a senior linebacker. I’m a junior running back.
And are you gonna win tomorrow?
That’s the plan. If we do things right, we will.
