When we make food and mealtimes interesting,
it invites kids in and have fun.
This is a drinking vessel.
It’s a cauldron, a little flask,
a disco ball with a crown.
Perhaps with a witch’s hat,
we can have a little flight of different flavored smoothies.
Use food picks as utensils or skeleton utensils.
Put fun shapes of ice in our drinks,
or even make little smoothie pumpkins.
Perhaps we’re serving on a witch’s hat.
These are not strategies to get your kids to eat.
These are strategies to remember
that mealtimes can be fun and enjoyable,
not just all the stress about what they actually eat.
