Southern Comfort: A Foodie’s Adventure in South Louisiana

You have, um,
beef with rice and gravy, purple hull peas,
cake and a roll. What kind of cake is that?
It’s red velvet cake. That’s what I thought.
She throws it down. She is amazing.
I love her cooking. Hey, guys.
Stafford Church and gas station tailgate review.
I’m at Votro’s at Church Point, Louisiana.
We just got the rundown on what we’re having for lunch.
This beef looks amazing. You guys already know if it’s got rice on it,
I’m gonna be in, so.
But I actually. I’m gonna try the pork roll piece first.
That’s excellent right there.
That’s some good purple hull peas.
You don’t see me stick on the peas too long.
Usually that’s a good sign. Beef and some rice.
But no reason the country does rice better than south Louisiana.
It’s always on the plate. It’s always good.
Rice and gravy here means something different
it does everywhere else in the world.
Man, this rice is so good.
So much flavor in that.
But in addition to doing these incredible plate lunches,
they process deer. They have a full meat market back there.
They use only fresh ingredients in the boudin.
Guys, you gotta come check this out.
I mean, like,
you can’t go. Like,
it’s a road trip kind of a place to just come through south Louisiana.
There should be a gas station trail here.
And just check out different gas stations.
Live life with passion, guys.
I’m gonna eat the rest Of this
