Sorry Now: The Making of a Fleetwood Mac-Inspired Song

The three of us have a song together on my current record
called sorry now. Called sorry now,
which I rocked up.
And you didn’t really love it until you heard the final version.
It’s amazing. It’s amazing now.
I love it. I knew I shouldn’t have sent it to you that early.
It was so in its infancy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Stages. But I was so into Daisy Jones and the six.
Uh huh. And we wrote that song.
That was probably the first song I wrote for this album.
Uh huh. And we wrote it quite a bit more country
and a little bit more laid back.
Well, I was so into you.
Like, you regret me and I regret you.
So I was like, this song lyrically is very angry.
And so I was like, so you know how it goes.
And then it doesn’t push the beat the next time it’s straight.
So I wrote that and I went in and I told the musicians,
this is what I want. I go,
this is what I want. Cause I think it needs to be angry and greedy.
And it turned out like that.
And greedy. Yeah.
And all of my friends that hear,
they’re like, man,
this is like a throwback to, like, Fleetwood Mac.
