Three Reasons to Rethink Getting a Cookie from Crumbl

here’s three reasons why you should think twice
about getting a cookie from Crumbl
First, Crumbl uses the tactic of FOMO,
fear of missing out,
to entice you into their shops each week
they unveil new flavors on their rotating menu
with flashy videos and memes
and this keeps you wanting to check back
to see if they have a flavor or two that you might wanna try
after all, if you miss out
that flavor might not come back
second look at this menu board
at the Crumbl in my neighborhood
notice the asterisk next to those calorie counts?
they indicate that those calorie counts are “per serving”
and there are FOUR servings per Crumbl cookie
take the GUTS Cookie collab with Olivia Rodrigo, for example
if you ate that whole cookie
that would be 960 calories
28 grams of saturated fat
and 80 grams of sugar
plus, the GUTS cookie also has
Red 3, titanium dioxide, and propyl paraben
which are three harmful food additives
that multiple states are working to ban from their food supplies right now
now are people really eating one or more servings at once?
I eat like three at a time
yes they are
now we’re not trying to pick on these people
far from it
the first time I went to a Crumbl, too
I also didn’t think that much about the serving size either
I figured a whole cookie was two servings, not four
third and last, just…look at this
it’s too much
the photos look super appealing
but in person it’s ridiculous
creator Edvasian called them “fast fashion cookies”
in a recent video
and I think it’s a spot on description
