By far,
this is probably the easiest way to make your music unforgettable.
And this is by writing a killer anchor hook.
An anchor hook is like a catchy slogan
that you hear under the actual hook
that’s normally played the whole time during a song
and you don’t even notice because it sounds so infectious. Like this
or this.
Some of the biggest hits of mainstream music use this kind of stuff.
And this could be done with three key ingredients.
Keeping it simple enough for people to actually be able to sing.
And here’s a hint, most people can’t sing,
so it’s gotta be really simple.
Number two,
it needs to be short enough for you to actually be able to repeat
over and over and over again,
cause that’s how it gets stuck in people’s heads.
And the last and probably most important thing
is that it has to have a good rhythm.
Rhythm and groove, to me,
is like 70% of actual music.
So spending more thought and time on that is probably super helpful.
We break nine other elements down inside of our private community.
Because if it’s catchy enough
and it gets stuck in a music supervisor’s head,
you end up with more of those young placements.
Make music for brands, not fans.
