Number one. Step number one,
you have to get somebody’s attention.
Step number one, I get their attention.
A great way to get somebody’s attention
is not blasting them with an email,
is not spamming their text,
is not saying, if I could have 15 minutes of your time,
I’d like to show you how I can improve your business
or save you money or help you with this.
That’s not a great way to get somebody’s attention. Why?
That’s what everybody else on planet earth does.
Okay? Unless you’re a Martian being down to planet earth,
you ain’t reading those emails.
You’re not falling for it.
Even though you can do what?
Help their business, reduce their costs,
help them grow. Whatever it is that you’re doing.
Even though you can do that stuff,
getting their attention is not saying I can do that stuff.
Getting their attention may sound like, hey,
I’ve got an idea to work with a lot of businesses like yours,
and I’ve got an idea that I’d love to get your opinion on.
