Navigating Political Discourse: Exploring the Perceived Differences Between Two Parties

So what do you say to people who say
there’s really no difference between the two parties?
The whole thing is kind of a wash?
Here’s what I would say. There is a real difference between the parties.
But I accept, especially with young people,
how frustrated they are with both parties,
cause it kind of feel like not a lot’s changed, right?
When I was running for office,
I showed up to a bunch of college campuses
and I talked a lot of smack about my opponent.
And our daughter, she’s like, dad,
enough with the negative.
Young folks wonder what the hell you’re gonna do, right?
Was one of the most important things my kids ever said to me.
And to this day,
the only conversations I’ve had with young people are positive,
affirmative ones about climate change,
addressing gun violence, you name it.
