Title: Speculation on Power-ups and Character Development in One Piece Chapter 1000+

Spoilers for one Piece. Chapter 11:00 eighteen. If you’re not caught up, just get out now because I’m gonna be dropping like a bomb spoiler in the first two seconds in this next clip. So just get out. Now, let me start off by saying that I’m not one of the people that are hating on Bonnie getting 5th gear powers there. I think there’s kind of acting goofy because they’ve always wanted one piece so badly to be like a Dragon Ball Z anime where it’s like, oh, you got this power up now you’re automatically stronger than X amount of people. And it’s like one piece has never been that straightforward. It’s always been goofy as hell, dude. Plus, if anybody deserves that power up, it’s probably Bonnie, you know, the 12 year old girl that’s been trapped most of her life. So she’s been wanting nothing but freedom and to be with her dad, but she just got both right now. So like it makes perfect sense for her. And also all those who think that she’s just as strong as Luffy feel like we should learn that and wanna know that, like, that’s not the case. He literally needed all of his arsenal, including all the conquers hockey, all the training with the hockey, and he still almost got watched by Kaido. So like, don’t worry, your king’s safe. He’s not being touched by Bonnie yet.

That being said, there is one thing that I don’t really vibe with this whole new development that we have right here, and it’s pure fan speculation at this point, but people are saying that maybe it’s not just Bonnie’s devil fruitability, but it’s also Luffy being able to give it to other people. That’s why it was so easy for her to get such a crazy power up right now. Because, you know, we have seen that Luffy can like affect other people, making them act more goofy, more toon like. So maybe he can get to the point where he can make everybody around and feel just as free as he can. And at that point, I’m like, I don’t I don’t really with that. See, when you start to look like this, this is when I start to check out because we have our main character that we saw the journey, he worked so hard to get here. And maybe even in some certain instances, he deserves it more than everybody else. But then he just starts spamming it, giving to everybody else. That just feels so like, what are we doing here, man? And like, trust me, if I had the power real life, I would also give it to my friends that I trust. That would be sick as hell. But like watching a media swarm, like TV show, movies, that just feels like so convoluted. And for what? It just feels like you just want stronger people to be in the fight at the end and be relevant. But like we don’t need that all the time. It just feels, it starts to feel boring, honestly.

In a similar instance in Narto, when Nara tried to give everybody chocolate clothes at the end of the work, I didn’t with that either because you know why they had to do that? Because the writer for a majority of the show neglected almost all of the side characters, but he wanted them at the end because he was like, oh, , how should we make them relevant again? Because it’s a big war, you know, everybody’s here. So like, how do we get them in there? Cuz narratively, it doesn’t make sense. You never give them powers. You never focus on them. So it just felt like a cheap trick to just get them to exist in the final arc when they barely even did anything. Like we didn’t need that dog. Like Bonnie makes more sense because it’s like one character who you understand why they should be able to get this ability, you know, but if you have one character that’s just able to spread everything that he has to everybody else, he just feels boring. You could relate it to almost mini toe just popping up and being like, oh, by the way, I have the second half of like Karam. I mean, they explained it earlier, but they’re like, yeah, yeah, I have that now. Father, son can power all together. That’s cool. That’s sick as hell. I love that. But like everybody else, just so they could exist in the world, but not really do anything. We don’t need, that’s just, we don’t need that at all. To wrap things up. All I’m saying is that one piece does not need this, you know, like they focus so much on the side characters all the time, and especially the Straw Hat crew. Like they literally all took two years off just so they could even like keep up with the captain’s strength relatively. So like, imagine that like at the end, the Power Creepers get so immense that the only way they could even exist with Luffy and the crew is if he gives him a little 5th gear here and there. That would be so lame. Dog like. Imagine Zorro training to be the strongest swordsman ever to exist and like defeat mihawk and everything. Yeah, be mihawk. But like I can’t really keep up with, you know, I know I’m knowing your second man and everything, but like, can you give me some of that fifth gear? Cuz if not, I can’t even exist in the fight. I can’t even help you. That would be so lame, dude. Oh, my God. This is all fans speculation once again. So like probably not true. That is Luffy’s thing and it should be his thing. Bonnie. Makes sense. Don’t take this as I’m saying Bonnie, this Bonnie makes sense. You, but you start spamming that . I might be done with one piece, honestly.
