Adventures in Split: A Girls’ Weekend in Croatia

Come travel with me to Croatia in split
for a little girls weekend and trip that we’re going on.
So woke up at 2:00am and had my breakfast and coffee.
I don’t really know what I was thinking
cause it was the middle of the night,
but got in a taxi to the airport,
checked our flight times
and we’re actually gonna land 20 minutes early,
so that was music to my ears.
I then quickly just a little patch waiting for Bronte
and then we checked in our bags.
This is the first time we’ve had whole bags in a while
and we really went wild with the like,
packing for the two day trip.
Honestly, I didn’t think that I was gonna be under 23 kg,
but we were.
But I did just pack my life in that suitcase and then went for purity.
Went to pure. I usually get the porridge from here,
but I tried the scrambled eggs and kale and avocado
and this was delicious. Really,
really recommend.
And then we headed to our gate and everything was boarding so smoothly.
I honestly haven’t had a flight that’s been on time in a while.
Touch wood. That’s not gonna happen on the way home.
But we boarded and it was sunrise and it was so lovely
and we just like did a bit of editing,
watched a few things, Bronte had a nap,
we had a peppermint tea and then we landed in beautiful split.
Just so exciting.
And it was the most incredible weather with this like amazing breeze,
which was just lovely.
Went through passport control and then we got on our little transfer,
which was only with two other guests,
to our hotel just to drop our bags,
change quickly and then head to one of the beach clubs,
which is called gusta. I wanna say
I might be pronouncing that wrong,
but this is actually €30 each per the day for the bed,
the bed only, so it is expensive.
We thought we’d just like experience this for the day,
see how it was,
have a place to perch and just kind of relax and soak up the sun,
soak up the sea.
And we had some really nice sea swims and an amazing lunch.
We had the teriyaki chicken and sweet potato fries.
And then around four PM we checked into our hotel,
which I’ll leave all details for at the end of the trip.
It’s actually a really, really nice hotel.
It is just a little bit further out of the centre,
so it’s about a 20, 25 minute walk,
I’d say, so just bear that in mind.
But you’ve got a gym, a pool,
you’ve got beautiful views
and the staff here are really,
really lovely. So we quickly just explored a bit of the hotel
before very quickly getting ready,
cause the fact we’ve been up since 2:00am
and both had almost three hours sleep,
we kind Of wanted to go out and explore,
take in the Old Town a little bit,
and have an earlyish dinner before a busy day tomorrow.
So we explored a bit, and, oh,
my goodness, the Old Town is just absolutely stunning.
All the buildings, everything.
It has such a nice buzz about it.
So we basically wandered around the streets for a little bit.
We also bought some peaches from the market
that we went through on our way down,
and we decided to just eat these on the side of the road,
and they were probably the ripest,
sweetest peaches I’ve had in a long,
long time. They’re incredible.
And then we basically just kept walking around
trying to find little food spots.
We had a few recommendations from online and friends and family,
but some of them were all indoor seating.
So we ended up coming across this little place called Chi Chi Bella,
and this was recommended to Bre for breakfast to us.
So I wasn’t expecting this to be a good dinner spot,
but, my goodness,
this place was heaven. If you guys come,
you have to come here. The food was incredible.
All the pasta was, like, grow, grown,
made in the kitchen. As you guys can tell.
I’ve had. I was asleep.
Then we went and got an ice cream after our dinner.
There is so many spots for ice cream around here.
This place has had the white chocolate and raspberry,
which is what Bronte Wanted.
So we got that,
and then I honestly couldn’t decide because they all tasted amazing.
The fig was incredible, but super,
super sweet, so I actually went for the stretcher telly.
Is that how you say it? I think so.
So I got that, which was again, delicious.
We walked along the harbour on our way back to the hotel,
had a little shower,
got into our pjs and watch this the rest of the sunset on our balcony
before a very busy, fun day tomorrow.
So I’ll see you guys there.
