well it’s last morning in Chicago
in fact I’m currently in the car headed to the airport
the last four days have been something of a blur
I’ve got a lot of messages from people saying things like
all the energy seems crazy
finally feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time
and all of that is great
but also
we should pay attention to the fact that there were some very serious issues
that have been discussed
I was fortunate enough to be on the floor for several of the speakers
one of whom was Senator Bernie Sanders
and he like many others
was sounding the alarm about Project 2025
but let me tell you what a radical agenda is
and that is Trump’s project 2025
at a time of mass of income and wealth inequality
giving more tax breaks to billionaires is radical
putting forth budgets to cut Social Security
Medicare and Medicaid is radical
letting polluters destroy our planet is radical
now Donald Trump keeps crying about how he knows nothing about Project 2025
which is funny as much as he talks about how he doesn’t know it
uh you think he knows about it by now
oh he continues to surround himself with people involved in it
and praise people who helped design it
I think Coach Walls addressed the situation best when he said this
some folks just don’t understand what it takes to be a good neighbor
take Donald Trump and JD Vance
their Project 2025 will make things much
much harder for people who are just trying to live their lives
they spent a lot of time pretending they know nothing about this
but look
I coach high school football long enough to know
and trust me on this when somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook
they’re gonna use it
you know the press has talked about Project 2025
but they’ve touched on like
eight of the really really bad things in it
meanwhile it’s over 920 pages long
there’s about 87 other really awful things in it
you probably haven’t even heard about
stuff that affects you no matter where you live in America
for example I live in Florida
they wanna get rid of the National Weather Service
because it promotes the myth of climate change
that’s how we know hurricanes are coming
Texas just got hammered with a Hurricane
you know what would have made it even better
if they didn’t even know it was coming
here’s the thing it’s an agenda nobody asked for
that’s it it’s literally agendas no one asked for
because none of this is about you or I
they do not care about people
Mega cares about control when someone tells you who they are
believe them when someone shows you what they’re going to do
believe that too
