Unraveling the Feud: Doctor Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and the Game – A Deep Dive into Subliminal Messages and Loyalties

Did Doctor Dre and Kendrick Lamar really throw some shade at the game when Doctor Dre said, this intro is not like us. My name is Jeremy Heck. This is your DX Daily Dose and let’s get right into it. Yesterday I posted a clip that has over 250,000 views and over 5,000 shares where I claimed that this was a calculated play for Dray to say that specifically because it reference back to something that the game said on one blood. Now, there’s a lot of history here, so let’s break it down. The game’s one blood came out all the way in 2007.

This came off the heels of games classic album, the documentary Jay in the game worked on this album together. But on the Doctor’s Advocate, Dray was noticeably missing. There was a lot going on between this album and his next, and a lot of it had to do with this guy, if we’re being honest, siding with anyone in any beef besides 50 Cent is probably the wrong call. So Dray took 50 side, leaving the game to finish his album alone. Well, not alone, but just without Dre. 50 amp. M.

Now, there was a lot of comments telling me I didn’t know what I was talking about. So let me show you the actual video proof from the games mouth himself, which granted should be taken with a grain of salt sometimes. When I asked him why Dray wasn’t on that album, here’s what he said.

Project name versus not having Dray on the album. You know, I’ve heard you talk about it a few times, but what was the real reason that he wasn’t on that.

Album? Cuz he didn’t wanna be. He sided with 50 for business purposes. He had to 50 assign aftermath and shady Eminem sign aftermath and is shady and Dray and everybody signed in. Jimmy, Ivan, Tom. I didn’t understand it. I understand now. Like a smart man would pick, you know, the breadwinner. And so everybody kind of sided with 50. But I still had a budget and I still had an album to record. And I didn’t get dropped because of the success of documentary. Jimmy Iveen is like not done. So it’s like we’re not gonna like lock in on this album, but we’re gonna give him what he needs to finish it. Now.

Notice the next part, he says that the last song he recorded on the album was one blood. Listen to who he says he was directing his anger at the situation on that song towards.

And the last song I recorded on it was one blood and that came on and it was just like, and I was like, yeah, this is me. This is how I say 50, dray, everybody. Like, interschool, Eminem, like this is gonna be my payback, you know, I’m saying I was just mad. It was almost like J. Cole’s like.

Middle child. I also don’t know that J. Cole was really mad at anyone during Middle Child. I think it was more of an attempt to bridge gaps between generations. But all that being said, on the intro to that song, he talks about Dre. Here’s what game says meaning behind those lyrics are, which a lot of people seem to disregard. You.

Know, I’m the doctor’s advocate, but I was speaking about myself. Like Dray shot me cuz he’s like, kind of like went away from game and I like, you know, at that time, man, I really, I go up to training, you know, drays from Compton soft.

I don’t know if you’re forgetting this.

Two weeks, then Drake is all clear.

And of course, he wasn’t invited to the Super Bowl. Now let’s take it towards Drake and Kendrick. Game and Kendrick have always been cool to my knowledge. When I ask him about it in the interview, he said that he’s known top, he’s known Kendrick for a long time. Kendrick even referenced game on Black Boy Fly being one of the people that he initially looked up to who made it out of content. But game has also had a relationship with Drake for a long time. Drake even flew down to LA to shoot the 100 music video. And on that song, Drake said some particular things directed towards Kendrick. I would have all of your fans if I didn’t go pop and I stayed on some conscious . I’m in the club every time that they play the competition, if they even play the competition, and I see the response they get. Yeah, nobody even hearing it on top of the pyramid. He basically is saying, Kendrick, I chose to go pop. I chose to go mainstream. I could do what you do, but you can’t necessarily do what I do, which is an argument for a whole another video. I interviewed the game again in 2019, and here’s what I asked him about Drake throwing shots on that song. Did you notice or feel like there were shots towards Kendrick on that song from Drake side?

I didn’t show like that. And if I did, I wouldn’t put a song out. But if Drake was taking some lemonade. Kendrick on that song and Kendrick caught it and want to return something. I think that would be great faith.

Out whether or not you believe him is a whole another story. You can let me know in the comments. So ask him who I would win between Drake and Kendrick and he kind of toe the line on top of that fence. I reposted that video on the DX account and got close to 1 million views. This was during the middle of the battle. That wasn’t the only involvement the game had during the battle. This is when pushups dropped and Drake had responded to like that, but Kendrick had dropped you for it and game posted on Instagram with the caption, I got rap dudes that I gotta act like I like, which is from Drake’s song enemy, which is weird timing to be posting that caption from that song during this time period, especially when Kendrick is from Compton. You could just keep your mouth closed. So people took this as game, choosing sides towards Drake.

Now let’s go back to the pop up concert where game was noticeably missing. And every LA legend, every up and coming LA artist pretty much was either in the building or on that stage. Snoop was traveling outside the country, ironically in Canada. But besides that, there wasn’t too many noticeable artists missing besides the game. So when Doctor Jay came up on stage to introduce not like us, and he said, I see dead people, I think that these two guys are calculated enough to know that was at the very least a subliminal response to the game and letting the world know where they stand. But that’s just me. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comment. Let me know if I’m reaching. Let me know if this blew your mind and you never knew about this. Or let me know if you’re somewhere between and let us know what topic to cover next. As always, Jeremy heck, hip hop, DX Peace.
