Examining Chelsea’s Transfer Policy: Too Many Players, Too Little Growth

I said on Monday Night Football
that Chelsea just got to stop signing players.
And players got to stop signing for Chelsea.
There’s just too many players.
But David, they’re not going to sign anymore,
are they?
Well, I think we both know the answer to that.
Um, they’re always in the market and.
And there’s opportunities that might come their way.
We know there’s interest in Victor Osimhen.
And the one position that many are saying around Chelsea
that they still lack, despite all the investment so far,
is that goal scoring centre forward.
What they’ll be reluctant to do
is sort of kill the development of Nicholas Jackson, um,
who did well in his first season
and despite people feeling he.
He definitely has improvements.
But how. How can you develop a Chelsea when there’s.
When a player’s bought and someone else is bought again. So.
you buy Mudric, it doesn’t quite work for him yet,
but then Joao Felix is coming in,
Neto’s there and Kung fu plays on the left.
I just don’t know how you can.
How you can develop. That’s what I look at as a player.
How can anyone sort of develop and bed into the club
when there’s so many players being bought left,
right and centre in the same position?
