Navigating the Post-Olympic Transition: Understanding the Challenges and Supporting Athletes

The week or two after the Olympics can be really,
really tough. Let me explain.
What basically happens is that after this super,
super high, intense,
stressful environment, which is the Olympics,
you basically come home and everything is just calm and relax.
And you go from this super high to just coming back to normal.
And while I don’t feel like I’ve had the post Olympic blues like 100%,
it has been kind of hard. I have been so tired,
I haven’t been feeling great.
It’s really taken almost all of my energy to see people,
spend time with family, go out and see friends,
and just be a normal person.
So when you see your Olympic friends, trainers,
athletes, anyone who went there,
check in on them,
see if they’re okay.
Because it can be really hard coming back into this
normal environments. Olympians,
everyone involved, I love you all.
I hope you all are great. Bye.
