Sorority Hazing: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – The Truth Behind the Controversy

I know there are a lot of questions surrounding sorority hazing
and if it actually happens or not.
Well, the answer is a bit more complicated than you would think.
So let’s get into it. Also,
I have named myself the official reporter on all things sorority,
the good, the bad,

So, sorority hazing.
What even is it? Is it real?
Does it happen still in 2024?
So you get your bid and you run home to your sorority.
However, you’re not an official member of that sorority yet.
You have to go through a new member period
where you’re basically working to join the sorority
until you eventually hopefully get initiated into the sorority.
And during that new member period,
there are a lot of rumors that hazing goes down.
Now, at my school,
they were very, very strict about hazing.
And I can honestly say when I was in a sorority,
I did not get hazed at all.
However, I cannot say the same for friends that I have.
I’ve heard some horror stories.
I know someone who had to go to the basement of their sorority house
and they gave them little light up candles
and they had to complete a puzzle that was nearly impossible
with all of the lights off
just using those candles.
