Politicians’ Song of the Summer: From Chapel Road to Freeedom

I’m Dylan. I’m a campaign reporter,
and I’m here at the DNC
asking politicians for their song of the summer.
Here’s what they said. Y’all realize how old I am?
Cause I’m like an album girl.
You know? I have got a crush right now,
and she’s had an incredible summer on Chapel Road.
Good luck, Babe is probably on there.
Espresso is right up there.
Hot to go, of course.
Chapel rounds. Really,
really well. I’m a shaboozie guy.
I’d say a bar song. Shaboozie, right?
Tipsy is the nickname of the song.
Love it. You know,
maybe one of the new Taylor Swift songs.
You know, maybe the Fortnite song. Freedom.
Of course. I love the Freedom song.
Um, that everybody knew.
Except for me, of course,
cause I’m way behind. Freedom,
freedom, I can’t lose. Haha.
I had all of Cowboy Carter.
This was an anthem to say,
be your authentic self. All of it.
I still listen to, like,
Shimmy Hendrix and Purple Haze. Okay.
The song at every cookout or block party that gets me going.
It’s just a classic. And Beyonce’s version is a good one.
And that is, um.
Before I let go, you know,
just a good little. You make me happy.
