at the Democratic National Convention

Gus was seen mouthing the words that’s my dad as he cried
Gus is 17 years old
and he’s heading into his senior year at Saint Paul Central High School
the Walz family told people magazine
that Gus has a non verbal learning disorder
as well as ADHD and anxiety
the Walzes that said his condition is not a setback
it’s his secret power
like her husband, Gwen Walz is a former teacher
they actually met while working at the same school
she’s been an advocate for criminal justice
education and gun control
on their first date Gwen and Tim went to a movie
followed by dinner at Hardee’s
which was the only restaurant in town that wasn’t a bar
their daughter Hope is 23 years old and she’s a social worker in Montana
Tim has shared how he and Gwen went through seven years of fertility treatments
before Gwen got pregnant
he said it’s not by chance that we named our daughter hope
and of course we can’t forget the pets
when Walz won the 2018 governor’s race
Gus responded to the election news by exclaiming
“I get a dog”
the governor made good on that promise in 2019
when they got a black lab named Scout
Scout got into a bit of trouble last year
