Nothing is ever going to be fair.
Business is not. People will not play fair,
but they win when them not playing fair changes my behavior.
And so the key is that if you allow others unfairness
to change your behavior, to change your values and how you act,
you lose. Because you get burned twice.
You get burned in the situation,
and then you get burned again when you say no to the next situation,
to the next person to hire the next employee.
You look at these situations and say,
well, they must be the same,
so I should protect myself from these new ones.
