Hey guys, here are 10 products of which my opinion has changed over time, some for better, some for worse. But I don’t really see any creators making these type of videos. Can’t be the only one who like will randomly start slacking or liking a product more. So I add to my collection, use it for a long period of time. Most of these are negative, unfortunately. But if they work for you, I’m not trying to discourage anyone from buying these. This is just my personal experience with these products.
Okay, so starting out, we have the Huda beauty setting powder. I’ve only had this for about a month, but I first really liked it. I wore it to prom. It’s a good setting powder, but I do find crease under the eyes a little bit. It’s good for other parts of my face, but under my eyes, it never really gave me that like perfect set. I would have to use this more for baking than just like setting. I like a powder that are more versatile that I can also use to just lightly set my underrise without having to use a press powder. This is not for a setting under the eyes. It’s good for baking. I also do feel like it’s a tad bit drying. Not too drying doesn’t mean it is a powder. But my real problem with this product, I’m just someone who likes use a lot of powder with my makeup when I’m using this and I inhale it and the smell enters my lungs, but it literally feels like I’m gonna choke. I don’t know if it just has a bad smell, but it feels like I’m inhaling just absolutely talk sick fumes. Like it’s just really overwhelming and gross to me. Do you think that I prefer my Givan she powder over this? Cuz I haven’t really dealt with any of those issues with that one and probably still gonna use it sometimes though, because color is really pretty. It was expensive. It’s good for baking. So there’s that. Next product I have on the negatives list is the L’real Lumi Golotion. In my previous videos, I’ve given this a good review cuz it is actually really good, which is why this is so unfortunate glow it gives and like the way it feels, I did think that this was definitely comparable to like a super glowy gel. It gives a nice bronze glow. It’s not patchy.
But I was sort of in denial about this breaking me out for the longest time because like I’m act Nipron and I just thought like I would break out either way. But since I’ve stopped using this as part of my skin prep, I haven’t broken out. It was like after I’d wear makeup, I would always notice like a pimple or two the next day. That’s just my skin. Like I’m acne prone. But no, I’m pretty sure it was this.
However, I do need to give another mention to the elf Halo glow, because this also could potentially be breaking me out. It’s definitely one of these, but I am pretty sure that it’s this Yelp logo does potentially have some poor clogging ingredients in it too. Why I haven’t been picking this up as much, but until I know for sure, I’m probably gonna continue using it sometimes. And going back to this, I think this does have like at least three poor clogging ingredients in the ingredient list. And a lot of people say breaks them out. So I would not be surprised if that was unfortunately the case.
Actually have the benefit brow gel. I don’t have much to say about this other than that it on this leave some white flakes, which no one wants. With the brow gel. It’s really good with keeping your brows in place, which is why I’m sad that this isn’t perfect of a product that I thought it was. But I did, after wearing it for like a few hours, I was going to take my makeup off. I definitely sell like some white flakes in my brows that I had not previously noticed.
Next is the Patrick Ta Blushing Cream duo thing. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this product itself. I love it. The formula is great. Do use it. The only thing about this is that this is in the shade she’s giving. And this particular shade, I would have to discourage medium to fair skin people buying the cream you can work with. The powder is literally so dangerous. A tiny spin, it stick to my cheeks and look like this on my face. It’s crazy. And if you layer them, I can almost assure you that it will be too much. I’ve been dying to get my hands on a different color, but you can see I have been using this, but I always either go in with only the cream or only the powder. Amount of pigment is not meant for anyone with skin any lighter than like medium to dark.
Next is the Fit Me Foundation from Maybelline. This for a long period of time was the only foundation that I’ve ever tried, and I absolutely loved it, had no problems with it at all. But I did recently just switch to trying the house labs in the Estee Lauder Double Ware Foundation. I’ve just been obsessed with my high end ones ever since I started using them. So I haven’t been reaching for this as much. I’m not to say it’s not good, it’s definitely one of the best drugstore options out there. I do just personally feel like it was worth it to invest in a high end foundation. Like I said, I’m happy pro and I struggle with my makeup going on smooth every time. Well, I guess I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with this product. My high end ones have been more reliable for me lately.
Honestly, I have, in the bad category, I have another blush. This is the red beauty blush. For the longest time, this is the only thing I use, like the only wash I needed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I just feel now that this shade is not for me anymore. I’ve been looking more for like cool tone baby pink blushes lately. And Rare Beauty doesn’t really have any shades like that. So that’s why I’ve been reaching for this less. I feel like all of our beauties products are just a little bit too warm toned. This bronze are also is very warm and creamy, good for summer, but I don’t think that extending that shade range would be a bad idea.
Okay, now answer the products that I’ve changed my mind about for the better, only three. But first is the rare Beauty Bronzer stick. Although this is definitely like a bronzer, it’s warm tone. Like I was saying before, I used to think that the reason this wasn’t blending out good and was like taking off my makeup underneath was because of the product. And it could be, but lately I’ve noticed that no matter what cream bronzer I use, it always separates my makeup, like by where I’m putting it and takes off my foundation. So I’m feeling like it might be a user error. This is definitely not patchy at all. It’s really creamy, really easy to blend, which is why I’m suspecting that there might be an issue with the brush I’m using instead of the product.
Next is this Physicians Formula Diamond Dust highlight. I have talked about this in my other videos. I mean, cuz the packaging is just so horrible. Like it literally separates and falls out constantly. Like it’s completely shattered in here. But I remember saying that like the highlight doesn’t show up and that it’s not good, which is actually not true because I use this for a video where I had my boyfriend choose my makeup and you pick this one as a joke. But when I use my finger and I actually like used it, even though the packaging is like rough, it looked really good. Like it was definitely showing up. The sparkle is beautiful, but have changed my mind about it in the sense that you’re careful with it and you don’t break it, it might actually be worth it. It’s like drugstore affordable, like Fenty, Diamond Bomb, dupe sort of, right as I was saying that, I dropped it and it came out again. And then lastly, I have the House Labs concealer. My previous videos, I rated this like a 6 out of 10. I think my complaint was that it crease before I could set it. I think that Loki happens with any concealer. Like if you apply it and then you’re looking down all around, it’s gonna start to crease. But after I set it, I have no issues, right? Before I go in with powder, I just blend it out again a little bit. So I don’t think it’s the fault of this concealer in specific. Super creamy. It pairs great with the foundation. So it’s Loki, the only concealer I have in a summer shades. That’s why I’ve been having to reach for it every day. I like the consistency. It feels hydrating and it does not move or separate if you set it correctly. That is pretty much every product that I have recently changed my opinion of, honestly only. And if you feel differently, you’re completely entitled to that. Yeah, let me know your thoughts on these products in the comments.
