This is a stage where it all happened.
A historic moment for Kamala Harris.
There is something, though,
that wasn’t made extremely obvious,
but that was lingering.
What we noticed as I sat on the floor watching all of the speeches,
is that women were really centered
during this Democratic National Convention.
What we also saw is that the husbands of these powerful women,
powerful husbands, made sure that their wives were in the spotlight.

President Obama had to follow Michelle.
I had a follow Gabby and pink.
My mother is the only person in the whole world
who thinks Kamala is the lucky one for marrying me.
We saw husbands making sure that their wives were center stage
and making sure that the audience was invited to see them the same way.
