Title: A Day in the Life of Training a New Truck Driver: Lessons in the Port and On the Road

Let me tell you the story
about training a new driver for my trucking company.
I’m trying to get the best, alright?
So boom, I told him,
meet me at the yard and then we go get straight to it.
So I pulled up, he pulled up on time,
we did the pre trip, got in the truck.
He got experience. But yeah,
I never been in a porch, so I’m teaching him how to drive in the porch.
Now. Porch versus over the road is a whole different game.
So yeah,
the first thing I took him to do is go get a chassis.
I have to show him how.
You got to tell him the company code and where to go when you check in.
When we grabbing chassis, these
we got to make sure that the tires is good,
the lights working. And at the registration,
I expired. Showed him everything he needed to know there
and then we headed out to the port.
When we got there, I texted him as if I wasn’t there
so he can understand the process that he got to do
to get the container. I showed him how to navigate through the port,
he parked and then we finally got our container.
Yeah, I hit the road to do our drop off.
And on the way there, we stopped to get. Dude,
I got some chick fil a. He asked for a chicken sandwich,
I got him. Then we finally Got to the warehouse.
It wasn’t that far. I rung the doorbell to get in,
and then I showed him how to fill out his paper.
Once we had finished that,
he had dropped the container,
then picked up another one.
We hit the road to head back to our.
And the day was complete. My god.
Did good for his first day.
Is definitely a learning curve,
but I think he gonna get it.
I’ll keep you posted. You already know the vibes.
It’s your boy Joe. Cat cop a couple trucks.
Wish me luck. I’m trying to double up.
I don’t give a. Tell me who.
A nigga got a different type of hustle.
Bronze, baby.
Rest in peace. A nugget.
You know I love you.
I’m trying to get the bags.
