Comparing Jouer vs. Huda Beauty: The Search for the Best Concealer Continues

Day 6 of our search for the world’s best concealer.
This eye. Already
we have the Jouet Concealer,
which is in the lead,
and we’re comparing it to the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Concealer.
This retails for $31. I love the applicator on this.
You can really cover a lot of real estate in one swipe.
This claims to be full coverage with the matte finish,
and that’s where it kind of throws me off.
The name of this concealer has always confused me a bit
because it’s called the Luminous Matte Concealer.
It’s like, is it luminous or is it matte?
Which one is it? You know what I’m saying?
But this is what it’s looking like without any powder.
I do feel like it is accentuating some texture underneath my eyes.
Let’s set this with some powder.
Hmm.
So here’s the issue I have with this concealer.
For whatever reason, on me,
it gives the exact opposite of a filter.
Like all those little. My skin looks 30 years old.
I don’t know if I’m the only one who experiences this
with this formula,
but it just looks dry and cakey on me throughout the day.
It doesn’t really even conceal my problem areas.
Nonetheless, this is the side by side.
Jouer Huda Beauty. In my opinion,
Jouer completely wins this round.
You know, the faux filters,
not bad. Looks decent in photos or in video.
But we’re not looking for decent.
We’re looking for the best concealer.
So, with that said,
your way is still in the lead.
Which concealer should we try next? Bye.
