Why should someone watch the Ligue?
If you’re looking for the next big thing in European football,
nine times out of 10, they’re playing in the Ligue.
You look at the legends of the game that have kind of come through
their upbringings, where they get scouted,
where they make their name,
is in Ligue 1. You look at Real Madrid,
for example. The core of their team comes from Ligue 1.
And Chouameni, Kamavinga,
Ferland Mendy, Kylian Mbappe up front as well.
The greatest player in Premier League history,
Thierry Henry, comes from League A.
So I think a lot of people sometimes
hit it with the Farmers League allegations
because of how much of a stranglehold PSG has had.
Let’s also not forget their best player has just left.
And I think it opens it up for the likes of Marseille,
Lyon, Monaco.
A lot of teams can look at that league and crown this year
and seriously have a claim to win it.
And they do it with some of the best,
most exciting young French players there are.
