Transforming Furniture with Funky Paint: Tips & Tricks for Painting Faux Leather Sofas

Okay, so this sofa was given to me for free.
I love it, but I wanna paint it
and I know you can paint faux leather,
I just don’t know how. If anyone has any tips and tricks.
I’m thinking maybe a sage green,
a royal blue, even a purple.
Just something real fucking like,
look at me, you know,
maybe I’ll do some funky little designs down the sides.
I’ve got a hand painted cabinet coming in
and that’s gonna be like a teal colour
and it’s got these tigers painted on the sides.
It’s fucking fabulous. And everything else in my living room
is gonna look a bit boring in comparison,
so I wanna do something fun and funky.
So yeah, tell me what kind of paint brand to use.
I know I need to use a sealant,
like an acrylic leather paint.
I don’t know what brands are good.
Every time you Google that shit as well,
a lot of it is just like paid advertisements,
so I don’t really trust I will trust like this,
you know. Tell me what you think.
Tell me what colour you think as well.
I’m not painting the walls,
so I wanna fill out the space with colour.
I’m gonna change those curtains cause they’re grey as well.
I want something more colourful in the curtains.
Um, but yeah,
I don’t wanna paint the walls.
There’s a lot of weird ceiling space
and I’m really not good at like keeping All those lines,
crisp and shit. I’ve painted walls before,
and I’m shit at it. I’m telling you.
I’m so shit. Yeah,
I didn’t think anyone could be shit at painting walls until I did it.
I’m really excited to do an updated flat tour, though.
Like, I’ve paid for this giant
fucking tiger head from India to go on my wall.
Like, I’m thinking in the center as, like,
a centerpiece, and then I’m gonna have shit next to it on the sides.
I haven’t decided. And then I’m gonna look for,
like, a vintage Moroccan rug.
They’re so expensive, but I get.
I get paid soon, so I’m gonna put.
Keep putting it back into the house. So excited.
