Top 5 B-Rated Horror Movies: Spooky Season Edition

Guys, I apologize.
I’ve been sick lately. It’s affected the quality of my videos.
But the show must go on.
So in honor of spooky season right around the corner,
I’m gonna give you my top 5 B rated horror movies.
We’ll start off No. 5 on the list with Sleepaway Camp.
Made in 1983, this movie is about Angela and Ricky,
two cousins that go to sleepaway camp,
and a suspicious streak of killing starts.
Felicia Rose plays Angela.
She does a fantastic job, and from what I hear,
she’s an absolute delight in person.
This movie is filled with one liners.
Probably one of the most realistic summer camp movies I’ve ever seen.
And the ending might shock you just a bit.
No.4 on the list is Reanimator.
Man, this movie is Fucking Wild.
Reanimator was made in 1985.
It follows a guy named Herbert West at a medical university,
and his obsession is bringing the dead back to life,
which he does. Now,
I’m just gonna go ahead and warn y’all,
if you do not like nudity,
do not watch this movie. This is the first
and the only movie
where you’re probably gonna see a severed head
almost go down on a chick.
This movie is nuts.
Number three on the list is the Slumber Party Massacre.
The drill bit Killer. Slumber Party Massacre was made in 1982,
and it follows an escape convict that’s going around killing people.
They have a big sleepover towards The middle of the movie,
and that’s where all the fun takes place.
This has a lot of great practical effects and some great kills.
I just hate that the director of this movie was such a sleaze bag.
Number two on the list is The Return of the Living Dead,
made in 1985 and possibly the greatest horror comedy ever made.
It follows two people named Frank and Freddy
that decide to go and check out a military experiment,
and they accidentally let loose some gas
that may or may not have brought the dead back to life.
And then it turns to a mad Max style free for all in Kentucky,
and it gives us the single greatest zombie design ever created
in cinematic history. Tar Man.
And No. 1 on the list.
My favorite B rated horror movie of all time is the Prowler.
The Prowler was made in 1981,
and in the movie it’s a crazy World War 2 veteran
that killed his ex and her new boyfriend.
And after the killings, they stopped the prom in the town.
But 35 years later, they restarted the prom.
And then the killings mysteriously started back up again.
If y’all have not watched this movie,
go watch this movie.
This is probably the greatest work that Tom Savini has ever done
with special effects. The killings are brutal in this movie.
I’m not gonna put it above Friday the 13th part 4 for Savini’s work,
but man, it’s really Close!
Aside from being a little slow paced at times,
I cannot say enough about this movie.
And that’s my top five B rated horror movies.
Horror fans are the best fans,
and I love you guys.
