Creating a Silicone Mold with Let’s Resin: A Step-by-Step Guide

Let’s make a silicone mold.
So I’m going to be using the silicone rubber from let’s resin.
It’s a 1 to 1 ratio by weight,
so you do need a digital scale.
Pour in 2 ounces part B, 2 ounces Part A.
I’m gonna mix that up for five minutes.
You need to mix it up thoroughly.
Make sure you’re really incorporating those parts A and B together.
Scrape the bottom of your cup,
scrape the sides of it. And now we’re gonna fill up our mold housing.
Um, this is an acrylic blank,
and it has a housing. I had this custom made.
But you don’t have to have a housing like this.
You could use a plastic container,
cereal box, even the Legos.
All kinds of things you can use to make your silicone mold.
I just poured it right in,
let it cure for 24 hours, and here’s how the mold turned out.
