Exploring Flux: The AI Image Generator Revolutionizing Realism in Digital Art

Flux is a new AI image generator.
You should know about this platform because grok
to Twitter’s version of AI,
actually uses this model to create images,
and the results are actually pretty amazing.
So flux was built by this company called Black Forest Labs.
They just announced a 31 million dollar seed
and the team actually came from stable diffusion.
There are three different versions of Flux Pro,
Dev, and Schnelle.
Pro you have to pay for. Dev is an open weight model
that you can use for non commercial reasons,
and then Schnelle is a patchy 2.0 for more like personal use.
There is no technical paper yet on how this works.
What really sticks out to me with Flux’s results
is that they’re very realistic looking.
So I took this example from mid Germany
where someone had created this image using this prompt.
Then I stuck into image in 3 as well as flux.
In this example, I’m using Flux Dev,
not Flux Pro. And if you compare these three images,
you can actually see that fluxes does look a little bit more realistic,
whereas Mint Journeys looks a little bit more unnatural
when it comes to the proportions of the face.
The other thing that’s interesting to know about flux,
and I kind of buried the lead here,
is that it’s actually built with a lot fewer safety guardrails
than a lot of the other models out there.
So people have been creating images like Trump smoking Marijuana.
And you know what? Flux will create that for you.
I’m not gonna show that here
because that is not the point of this channel.
But if you’re curious, go ahead and check that out. Until next time.
