Mastering Vlog Editing: A Step-by-Step Guide Using VLLO App

Have you ever wondered how your favorite influencers edit their vlogs and videos? Well, if you have the patience to stick around for a full tutorial, I’m gonna show you how I edit mine. All right, so there’s lots of editing apps out there.

I personally love using an app called VLLO. I’ve been using it for many years. And the reason why I love it so much is that there’s a button that I’m gonna show you that I have not seen on any other app. So V from vllo, which I highly recommend, you’re going to start a new project, pick the videos that you wanna edit from, pick your format, which if you’re editing for TikTok or reels, and you’re gonna use a 9 by 16, this is called splicing. This is how you edit out the parse that you don’t want, keep the parts that you want in your videos. Splicing is how you do transitions. Splicing is how you do really quick, sped up type videos that are like super choppy. Learning how to splice literally is the biggest part of editing in my opinion, especially if you’re editing for like modern day social media. So look closely at the little circle. It’s showing you what buttons I’m hitting. But I want you to look at that button that says from now. That is the button that makes splicing on vllo so much easier than any other app that I’ve ever used. So you’re going, that red line is your home line. You see that red line, you’re gonna drag the clip over to where you want it to start. Hit the from now button. That means your clip is gonna start from then. And then you’re going to hit the split button anytime you want to end that little clip.

Does that make sense? I hope this makes sense. I’ve never done a tutorial like this before. That’s why I never have and most creators don’t is because it’s kind of hard to explain. You have to play with it in practice. But as you can see, I’m using that from now split over and over again until I get all those little choppy pieces that I love. And you can use the until now button the same exact way if you wanna end a clip at a specific place.

So as you see, I took 20 minutes of media and cut it down to like 50 seconds. But for TikTok, I need my videos to be at least a minute long so that I can monetize that video. So I’m gonna go back and add like a new scene. I’m adding some more footage that I actually filmed for another blog. I’m just gonna add it in here since it’s all on the same topic. And then splicing it up the same way.

That’s honestly the most annoying thing for me personally with editing for social media is that each platform likes different links of video. So by adding that media, I have made my video to 1 minute and 6 seconds. I want to speed up just a few of those clips that are a little bit more boring and just speed them up a little bit faster so you can go to the individual clips that you want to change the speed for. Super easy. You just play with it. Then you can hit apply to all and then click the scenes that you want to be at that specific speed. So this is really good for my cleaning videos when I like to do like those really fast, choppy cleaning videos that you see on my page. So all of those individual clips are sped up so that I have now have a video at exactly 1 minute, which is perfect for TikTok. As you can see here, you can add music from the app. It app is all copyright free music.

Then I go to TikTok. After I exported the video, I go to TikTok, uploaded TikTok, and then in TikTok is where I like to add my music because you usually have more trendy songs. But you have to be careful with meta apps because it’s, they can copyright you on certain apps. So you have to know which apps you’re uploading to and be careful with music. But TikTok has a trendier stuff. It just depends on what you monetize or not. I also like to add my titles and headings and TikTok app as well. Then before you upload it to TikTok, you’re gonna hit that save button and save it to your phone. Then do your caption. That way you can upload it to other apps without the TikTok logo on your video. But you have to save it before you upload it to TikTok. And here are the results. Not another thing outside that. I’m a dream come true when it’s so excited for you.

Thankful man. Gonna try to make plans more than 2 hours in advance. Same time. It is not say no. Finally cut you up like a bit. So I see I send again. Play with you on my head with you.
