Paradise Found: Navigating Life and Love in Hawaii

Around like it’s just so much and beautiful.

Joseph and Fred have been married for nearly a decade, but a trip to Hawaii is where they first tested the waters of their relationship.

I thought this would be a good idea to see if I can actually live with the sky. We took.

A cruise and I went to all the islands. It was great. We’d love to be near water. The beach is great. We enjoy snorkeling. And what a better place in paradise.

It all worked out well. And so I said, okay, there we go. I can be with this guy. Now.

A new career opportunity for Joseph in Hawaii is uprooting the couple and bringing them full circle to where it all.

Started. He’ll fall in love with something and see huge potential where I probably would just see problems and an expense. I’m always working the numbers. Joseph wants bigger and.

Better. For me, it’s kind of go bigger, go home. You have one life to live. Let’s do it. Yeah, we really like the Big Island because there’s a wet, lush side which appeals to us. We love to garden. I’d love to live on the beach. I.

Mean, I’d like to go to the beach, but not live on the beach. I mean, not on the beach.

Red is totally freaked out about having tsunamis. You know, hey, it could.

Happen, kill you. Tsunami is kill. When we talk about waterfront, it depends how close to the water. They have tsunamis all the time. In fact, I was talking to Joseph on the phone and I heard this Siren angle. What’s that? He goes, oh, that’s a tsunami warning. They’re testing the system. Like that’s my worst nightmare. What kind of price range are you looking to buy in doing the numbers here, while I’m talking top end would be 8:25.

I’m kind of open to going a little higher. The price of paradise, I would like to have everything and I’m not too concerned about the.

Price. I’m not really worried about the size, long as it has the rental, you know, some tenants to help as a mortgage helper.

You know, having income property would be great. It would make Fred feel better. That’s kind of crunch time, so we gotta go for it, right?

Yeah, that’s right.

With a fierce Hawaii market and limited inventory, it’s a very rare to find coastal front homes below $1 million anywhere.

8,95, that’s a lot of money for us.

Well, that’s right on the water.

Hi, guys. Hey, Shelly. Welcome. Finally, look.

At the view. Can we go take a look.

Outside the local view? Okay, guys. So this is overlooking Honoluli beat.

Oh my gosh.

Can’t beat the view, that’s for.

Sure. Yeah, I bet you can see whales out here. Yeah, that’d be next. Joe. Bonus.

Joe loves this kind of dramatic scene. How much is that drop?

Living on the edge. They’re living.

On the edge. That’s right.

No one of those live on the edge type people.

These are Korean countertop with the white woodshaker cabin. It has gas stove, guys, and that’s.

Something I like. Yes, there’s a lot of tarnishing on this equipment.

From the salt air.

Oh, really? Heard you have to replace your appliances every few years because of it. Yeah, expensive.

But look at this nice space here.

And I can see everybody surfing. Maybe a fun hobby take up at some point.

So we’ll come here to this beautiful main bedroom with this. Wow, just ocean right.

There like that. I love it. I love.

It. What I like about this bedroom, guys, is that you have your own separate area you could use for gardening.

Well, you don’t have a lot of lawn to cut, that’s for sure.

Could actually make this a nice.

Patio. I don’t think pot gardening is. It’s just not gonna work for us.

Okay, guys, here’s the second bedroom and here is the studio with parental income. Okay, you have a separate entrance.

Here. And how much, which could we rent this out for.

In 18 to 21 a month?

Oh, really? It’s alright. Yeah, I like that idea. I.

Know the home fits what you guys are looking for.

I like the high ceilings. I like the view, the rental aspect of it.

Yes, there’s not much of a garden, but, you know, I could get creative with containers. But I know you’re worried about tsunamis, so.

That’s a natural concern. But one thing you won’t find on another, probably below $1 million is the ocean.

What a dream come true to say you live on you, you know, in the beach in Hawaii.

He loves shiny things and sparkly things. So something will catch his eye. He’s like a crow. I want it, I want it. So I’m more practical.
