Navigating Three Car Dealerships: My Experience Purchasing a 2025 Honda Civic

I went to three different dealerships
in order to get the price that I got on my car that I have,
which is brand new 2025 Honda Civic.
Here’s what I’ve Learned from the whole experience.
When I went to the first dealership,
the Honda on Buena Park, they quoted me $30,000 for the car
because they said it came with already advanced security
perm Protection,
which is like paint Protection and some tire wheel lock thing.
But I was like, I didn’t even want half of those accessories.
Matter of fact, I didn’t want any of those accessories.
They were like, no,
it’s 30 k.
Because we can only take out two out of the three accessories
that you don’t want. But I’m like,
but I don’t want all of them.
I left that place not buying the car.
Went to a second dealership,
and at this point, I was stressed, overwhelmed.
I have never been to this process,
never ever bought a brand new car.
My good friend Ashley and her dad are more familiar with this,
so they came to help me. They were able to negotiate the car down to 27,
uh, 600 or 27 500,
one of the two. But the manager was going back and forth,
you know, manager was so adamant, unlike, no,
I can’t do it for lower than 27 600.
We walked out of that dealership.
Funny though, he called me back an hour later,
did want my business. So
Something else I’ve Learned is it is okay to walk out that dealership.
They called me twice, third dealership,
and they offered me $27,049,
which was way better than what we got from the last two dealership.
So I did accept. Keep in mind,
this is after all the taxes and stuff.
I did get a better quote for my car from Carmax, uh,
for 6,400. I used that as my trade in value.
So in reality, I only paid roughly $20,649 for my car
because I did trade it in.
So that was the final price of what I truly paid
after I traded in my car.
