College University Fashion Essentials: A Closet Archives Lookbook

For any of my fellow college university girls,
I wanted to talk about the things I wore most often in the class
when I was in college. I graduated a year ago now,
but I took all these photos,
so I have a full archive of the actual proof
of things I went to class in.
This is one of the looks.
It features one of my most worn pairs of pants,
pair of comfortable bootcut jeans,
then the blazer,
which is a light earring piece I would use in between seasons.
I loved a belted, oversized thick wool coat.
It always kept me warm and it looked very chic over any outfit
and it felt like I was genuinely wearing a blanket.
I would throw on this coat over a sweatshirt and a pair of trousers.
Another example of the same thing,
or the bootcut jeans and a sweater or sweatshirt.
Genuinely worked with everything and I highly recommend one good coat.
Just have on rotation. Blue denim is a neutral.
It goes with everything in my mind.
And I personally would go for a relaxed straight leg silhouette.
That way I felt elevated, it was flattering,
and I still could sit very comfortably for hours if I had to.
I personally love mini skirts.
I would pair them with sweaters to make them work for class,
be comfortable because if it was cold in a lecture hall,
which it typically would be,
I’d be covered and they Could be layered on top of each other
or thrown over the shoulder like so.
I also love the idea of having two very different silhouette sweaters
with the same color, to layer them together interchangeably
and of course, wear them alone separately.
In terms of tops, my biggest staple was a button down oversized shirt.
I wore this particular stripe one all the time.
It was easy, it always felt put together,
but it was still very comfortable because it was so flowy.
And of course, a good trench,
it elevates outfits, it adds warmth,
it’s very classic. Cannot go wrong.
A pair of pleated, wide leg trousers is essential.
They can be worn for presentations and more elevated situations,
or even job interviews. But they can also be very genuinely comfortable
because they are oversized and they’re flowy through the legs.
