things I wish I knew at 20
now that I’m 40 you know
that feeling of waking up on a Saturday and the sun shining
and all you can really think about is getting down the local
having a sherbet or avino and catching up with your mates
well that never goes away
no matter how many weekends you’ve been through
and how many sunny forecasts you’ve seen
that’s still one of the first things that comes to mind
and all that really happens is you just run out of people to do it with
they get busy you get busy
and your weekends don’t line up as much as they used to
but you still gonna get that tingle and that urge
that bit of excitement for going to have a nice quiet one in the sun
so enjoy it while you can kids
