This is the difference between the AP Royal Oak Jumbo
and the standard 41 mm Royal Oak.
Now, right off the bat,
looking at them side by side,
you can’t see much of a difference.
They’re both in steel. They’re both with a blue dial.
However, if you take a closer look,
the obvious difference between them is the case size.
Now the Jumbo Royal Oak is a 39 mm case.
However, the standard Royal Oak is a 41 mm.
So you can see a difference in the size between the two watches.
Apart from that,
the jumbo is known for being more of a slim version of the Royal Oak.
So you can see that the thickness
in comparison to a standard Royal Oak is much slimmer.
Now, going back a bit of time,
back in the days when a P.
First launched the Royal Oak collection,
all of their watches was in the 39 mm size,
exactly like this one. However,
in 2,012,
that’s when they switched it up and went up from 39 millimeters to 41,
which is the now modern a P. Royal Oak.
Now, you may be wondering why this one is called the jumbo,
even though it’s a smaller size than the 41.
Well, back in the days,
a 39 mm watch was considered a very big watch
in comparison to other watches that were in the market.
So for that reason, the jumbo has kept its name.
However, now it’s not the biggest watch out in the market.
This is A41 AP Creates watches in 43 and 44 millimeters.
However, this one is now considered more of a rare and demanded watch
because of its history
and that the case size is still the turning point.
