Maximizing Savings: A Guide to Utilizing Discounted Gift Cards for Netflix and More

Somebody in the dill fam reached out to me
and wanted me to show them how to utilize the discounted Netflix
present card that we picked up.
One of my favorite ways to save,
especially in the beginning,
is to purchase discounted present cards
for things that you already use.
Yesterday I shared a deal about discounted dining option.
This last week I picked this one up at Kroger to save on fuel point.
But here’s the thing. If you’re not saving at least five Smurfs
mortgages when you are purchasing a present card,
you’re doing it wrong. But let me show you how to redeem it in Netflix.
When you go ahead and jump on their website and sign in,
then log into your profile,
in the top right hand corner,
you’re gonna go ahead and click on the photo there
and then click on account
and in the second portion you’re going to see your billing details.
So you will see that my account is paid through September 23rd
and I still have an additional four dollar and fifty
one cent Netflix credit that will go towards that September payment.
Gonna go ahead and click on redeem gift card or promo code.
Then you wanna go ahead and add that code on the back
and it’ll probably make you do this dumb thing.
It’s gonna go ahead and give you confirmation
that you’ve added the present card.
Go ahead and apply it to your account.
Success!
And you can Now see it that my account is paid through November 1st.
Like I said, I purchased my present cards at Kroger
because I want to utilize the Fuel Rewards program.
They often have a coupon that’s four times points,
which saves me about fourteenths of a percentage.
So if you have a Kroger or Kroger affiliated store,
then definitely look into that.
You can check on. I believe I have a Kroger playlist.
If you don’t, don’t stress out.
You can jump on over to target,
sign up for their target red card,
which is just like their store card.
It does connect to your bank account,
or I think it’s actually your debit card.
But when you make purchases using your Target Red card,
then you are going to save five Smurfs dividends.
I’m telling you guys, it does add up.
Let’s pretend that your Netflix account was $20 a month.
That’s $240 a year. And bare minimum,
if you were to purchase the present cards through target,
you’re gonna save 5%. Just 12 bucks.
I know that’s not life changing saving,
but when you start doing this for multiple areas of your life,
it might blow your mind. Think Starbucks,
restaurants that you frequent, travel.
I mean, one tip alone
saved me a couple hundred bucks on my last vacation to Disney World,
which I paid for completely with couponing.
I have a whole playlist. I didn’t want you guys to miss out.
I wanted to show you how It’s done because it can’t be done in the app.
It does have to be done on the website.
But super simple. And worst case you forget to do it,
it’s gonna just charge your regular form of payment.
Hope this helps. Happy shopping guys!
