Unlocking Live Sound Magic: Sidechain Compression with Roland SPDSX Pro

Hey guys, it’s the Stickman project.
We are here in our studio today because we want to show you something.
We have been looking for a way to use sidechain compression
in our live shows using the Roland SPDSX Pro,
and we think we’ve figured it out.
We’ve created three separate kick drum loops at three different BPM’s,
then set them to control the build inside chain compressor.
The loops are triggered by these bottom three pads.
When we play live,
we’ll change the output of these patches to headphones only
so the audience won’t hear it.
Let’s take this to the kit to hear high sounds.
So this is without the side chain
and now this is with the side chain effect
we think this sounds great.
If you’ve got any questions,
then leave us a comment and we’ll answer as many as we can.
