Exploring Mckinos: A Budget-Friendly Five-Day Trip with Insider Tips and Local Gems

This is for you as someone with a Greek dad, Mckinos was a rope choice, I’ll give you that. Personally, I didn’t have a major budget to spend. I think we got an epic five day trip considering we didn’t have that budget to spend. First thing you absolutely must do is download the I move app for taxis. Honestly, it will save you so much money and time.

He stayed in the most amazing Airbnb. When I tell you, it was stunning. It was that she, five minutes from the center of Mckinow’s town, just down a hill, the view literally was the view of Mckinot. You got panoramic view of the skyline, perfect for sunset. We took appro spritz up there one night and just watch the sunset. I was stunning. I booked it on booking.com and it was around £400 each for five nights, which it’s quite a lot. But they cleaned the room every single day. Location was perfect. The host, Theo, was so helpful. You recommend us restaurants? My favorite restaurants in Old Town were Nicos Taverna and Katarina’s Taverna. Both of them were really good. My recommendation would be to stay away from the port. A lot of people will suggest to you to get the sea views, but I just think they’re overpriced, to be honest. Make sure you get giros slash suvaki from a street vendor type vibe, a place called Sakis in Old Town, which is really good. Also Trio Bambino for Greek frozen yogurt. So good and you get really nice toppings. And then beaches. This is where it’s at for me. Favorite beach, Io solstice. It’s up in the north. So you only go there when the wind isn’t too bad, because when the wind’s really bad, it will get hit by all the ways. It’s not good. No sunbeds. It’s really authentic Greek. I love it. And the water was amazing. And there’s just this one to burner called kikis. You might have to wait like an hour for food. Like no joke, but it’s so fine because you just have to have one person wait by the restaurant. The rest of you can like go to the beach and then you can like knit back and forth and swap. The host is so gorgeously Greek like it. The hospitality is unreal. Everyone’s in such a good mood. And he brings you free Rosie while you wait, like it’s the nicest hour long way you’ve ever had. And then the food is amazing.

Then Saru Beach, super bougie, if you wanna like celeb spot. There’s loads of yachts out. It will be more sunbedding. We didn’t actually book a sunbed none of the days as I get sunbeds. So you can’t always find spot. We also went to Platis Yalis beach. That was also nice. But again, very sunbey as is or not. They’re all on the south coast. So when the wind is high, you should go down to the south coast cuz you’re so much more protected and the water is so clear and calm.

And then Scorpios, I would say, is worth it. It’s worth the hype. I mean, it’s so expensive. So we did not eat there. We ate a Nicholas to Vernon next door, which was impeccable and the food is so great, beautiful views, so affordable. So I would say eat there and then you don’t have to have a table reservation at school here, which can be like thousands of pound. You can just go in and it’s just literally the drinks you buy. The drinks are expensive, but I literally had one drink and then just dance the whole night. It was so good. And I literally spent 22 years.

We went to Anthony in Old Town, which was so fun. You could again eat there, but would it be really expensive? So we just went for drinks. But they have like sparkles. Everyone starts on the table, Greek music, then also just like fun ABA. But everyone’s in such. Give me other than that, we didn’t really party loads. So they’re my two that I would say to go to. Last thing, make sure you learn some Greek phrases cuz it really makes difference. Friends and the taxi drivers and everyone will really appreciate it.

Gassus is hello. Efarsto is thank you. Kelly Mera is good morning. Kelly spare is good evening. If you have those, then at least you’ve made an effort. That’s really good. Also one thing, incredible shop. It’s called Giant Street and it’s a jewelry store. This woman makes the most stunning jewelry. It’s all handmade. It’s got emerald rubies. It’s beautiful quality. She makes it all by hand. She has unique pieces every day. She’s just stunning and gorgeous. And it’s like in a little underground, she has this cute cat that like sits on its bum. It’s so cute. So definitely pay a visit to that shop. But yeah, that’s my Mckinos guide. Let me know if you wanna know anything else. I think I’ve kind of covered it all, but yeah, let me know.
