Yo, Yo, Yo,
this is your boy DJ Paul k 0 W
when representing that Mafia.
And this is how we made our single
we made it with me, Akon,
and Crazy Bone. I originally made the beat for we made it back in 2,019
after I went to a Kanye West Sunday Service.
Man, I loved it.
I love how he had the elements of the gospel music
mixed with the hip hop. He’s done it in his albums before.
So I made that beat for Kanye West.
Never got a chance to get it to him,
so I decided I use it for myself.
I want to add some soul to it.
So I sent it to my boy Akon.
He loved it. In his hook,
he said, we made it.
Now, coincidentally,
I had some vocals from my sister,
who lives in Chicago, who sings gospel,
who also said, we made it.
In a little intro kind of thing that she did for me
for a different beat, I took her vocals,
threw it on top of the song with me,
and Akon scratched her, her vocals in between his hook.
That we made it, it was match made in heaven.
Do a verse on that, Akon,
do a verse on that. Song was ready to go,
but I still felt it
needed one more artist on that to really wrap it up.
I was in the process of recording me and Crazy Bone album.
I let crazy bone Hear it in the studio.
He heard it, he loved it,
and the rest is history, man.
Make sure y’all go stream.
We made it right now. All platforms.
Mafia is heavily influenced by Chicago, man.
Thank y’all for supporting us all these years. Let’s go.
