Feasting on Lobster Delights: A Culinary Adventure at Redhook Lobster Pound in Brooklyn

Come with us as we go all out
at one of New York City’s best lobster joints,
Redhook Lobster Pound in Brooklyn.
First up,
their Old Bay buttered and white wine sauteed Maine lobster tail.
Deliciously buttery, salty,
and smoky. Next up,
their hand cut and salted fries get topped with fresh lobster,
drenched in their four cheese sauce,
topped with even more cheese melted in the broiler
and finished with scallions.
Lobster cheese fries.
They said we had to try their locally caught Rhode Island calamari,
which get beautifully fried,
tossed in Old Bay, and served with their lemon aioli and pepper Mayo.
So good.
We never say no to fried shrimp.
Theirs are flattened,
breaded in Old Bay bread crumbs and fried to look like this.
Served with that pepper Mayo.
You need these. On to the main attractions.
After buttering and toasting rolls,
they add celery, salt,
paprika, lemon juice,
and Duke’s Mayo to a healthy amount of lobster.
Then they jam pack it into a roll with lettuce,
paprika and scallions, their main style lobster roll.
The next one gets chipotle Mayo, lettuce, tomatoes,
crispy sizzling bacon, that lobster salad,
paprika and scallions,
lobster BLT. Incredible.
Oh, my god.
Bring on the butter.
This next roll gets their steaming butter poached lobster,
paprika and scallions, Connecticut style.
We wanted to get aggressive with this next one.
Chipotle Mayo, sizzling bacon,
a double portion of buttered lobster,
a little more butter for good luck.
Paprika and scallions.
Their giant Connecticut roll with chipotle Mayo and bacon.
That’s the move right here.
And for the lobster roll finale,
they bread and batter their fresh lobster.
They fry it all up to look like this,
slather it in their lobster caramel sauce,
pack it into a toasted roll with Kewpie Mayo,
more of that lobster caramel sauce,
and scallions. It’s safe to say I’ve never had fried lobster before,
and I am here for it. Next up,
a tortilla gets their green sauce.
Sharp cheddar lobster, a crunchy tortilla,
more cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
Then rolled up crunch wrap style,
buttered and grilled to look like this.
And sliced crunchy, cheesy and nice and zesty from that green sauce.
And do not skip their burger.
Two beef patties get top with melted American cheese
slid onto a toasted bun with special sauce, pickles,
lettuce, and tomato.
Then top with more of their special sauce.
For a lobster spot, they serve up a mean burger.
