Driving for liberation.
They are my heroes.
They have opened up my heart in a way that I have never felt.
It has been open as a person, as an artist.
The people of Gaza, the people of Palestine.
And we have watched it. We have watched it in high definition.
We have watched a genocide taking place.
For the last almost year, we have watched this,
and it is still going on. It is not letting up.
Which is the exact reason why our voices have to get louder.
Wow.
Our hearts have to get wider.
Our spirits have to be used as resistance.
I know that we are celebrating tonight.
It is a beautiful thing to celebrate this gift,
this gift of live music, this gift of vibration.
But I just want the people of Gaza to know that we have not forgotten
that we are right here and we are not going anywhere.
And I watch empty promises.
I watch empty promises by our government,
the US government back where I’m from.
I watch Kamala Harris on stage and tell lies to the nation.
We believe these lies for too long.
We see the truth. Stop arming Israel!
Cease fire! Now this song is called Hands Up.
