Painting an Ocean Landscape in Procreate: Step-by-Step Guide

Here’s how to paint an ocean landscape in procreate.
First, block out all your colors
with the speckled and creamy brush from my gouache pack.
Next, make the brush size smaller.
And we’re gonna add a bunch of thin lines to the ocean water.
Thicker lines towards the front.
For the crest, you’re gonna use a base of gray,
and you’ll go in with some blues for the shadows
and the light pinks and light greys for the highlights.
You want it to look super messy.
I’m using the sharp streaks brush
and the speckled and creamy brush for this.
Then I’ll use the clouds brush
to lay in the base of the clouds in a purple color.
And I’ll smudge out the bottom of one cloud.
Then turn on Alpha Lock on this layer
and use the same brush to add in some variation of color.
Draw on your moon. And that’s it.
Let me know if you have questions.
