Scandinavian Summer Serenity: A Day in Northern Wisconsin

Good morning. My name is Kate, and I am romanticizing my summer in northern Wisconsin. And it kind of gives me a little bit of a Scandinavian vibe. So we’re gonna say it’s a Scandinavian summer in Wisconsin. So good morning from my spacious little cabin. And I wanted to make coffee first thing. And we got these new pods for the ancient kirig. And it’s always nice to try something local, I think. But yeah, here I brought my mug. You can have a better look at it. I love my mug. It’s more for matcha, but I thought it was a good thing to have appear for myself because I do think that treating yourself with love every single day and making sure you use the special things, light the candle, use the perfume, that is how I live. So I think you should use the nice mug all the time. Just having coffee outside is one of the best experiences about being indoor county. It’s so fresh and crisp.

Let’s pretend like a Scandinavian summer. And because we had really bad SERMs last night, of course, my dad is just spending the morning listening to the radio to making sure they all passed. Then my mom and I went on a little walk. We went to go check out some of the other boats and also I want to go brush my teeth. The water is so much clearer now after that storm. Then I forgot I had free will and complementary bikes. And I heard there was a new bakery in town. And so I went to go check it out. And I went to go ch, literally just down the street. You can see where the lake is just so cute and idyllic just down the street. But yeah, I went to go pick up some card bum buns, but they didn’t. Anthony and I was really upset about that. I think I checked out the wrong place, but I got some Swedish almond cake. So I got the goods here. I am trying to show you of my trike. Yeah, it’s a trike. It’s so low. I love it. They give you free bikes. So I came back. No one was appreciative and wanted any of this Swedish almond cake. I’ve literally never seen this kind of almond cake before. Looked good and it smelled really good. I really like almond things, but I wish it kind of had almond meal 2. I appreciate that more. But it was good. I liked it. And then from our farmer’s market spoils, I had our cute little strawberries on the back of the boat and just sat and had my coffee. It was just so peaceful and idyllic, much like Sweden, I would imagine, in archipelago. And just pretending I’m Matilda Jira for someone like that. And because I’m not drinking and we’re gonna lay in the sun all day, I made myself a little Poppy, little mock tail. I think this raspberry rose one might be my favorite flavor. But normally I do like a soda dupe, like a Cola, like a Doctor Pepper dupe, like a, you know, root beer cream soda situation. But I really liked the fruit ones for summer.

And I don’t wanna say this is where my day went downhill, but I was feeling like, you know, I had mentioned this earlier, but I had this time I flew last week and I’m trying to try new things and introduce things back into my routine. And I made a tuna salad and that was a mistake. Or maybe eating this chef like spread with Wild Ramp, literally. It’s so amazing. I love ramp so much. So if you’re ever in northern Wisconsin, go to Door County. Definitely go to the Door County Creamery. It’s insane how good their cheeses are. And then I went to go lay out in the back of the boat. It was really hot. But again, I say use the cute glass because you love yourself always. Here is where it took a turn for the worst, and I don’t think I’m gonna be able to go out to dinner tonight. So oatmeal. It is not very Scandinavian. I guess it’s called crotch. Oh, I might be pronouncing that wrong, but I guess they do eat it in Scandinavia. But how disappointing. I did this for dinner at least. It was a lovely night and I got to hear all the birds chirping and to finish this perfect summer day minus the summer clue with the classic 90s erotic thriller Double Jeopardy, starring Ashley Judd. Well, Good Night and see you tomorrow.
