Unlocking Sunday Morning Chords: Exploring the Hexatonic Scale in B flat

As you’re working on your Sunday morning chords,
it’s nice to be able to get these different voicings.
But there’s a scale you need to know
that will unlock some of this stuff.
Here it is. 1, 2,
3, 4,
5, 6 root.
This is the key of B flat.
We got a major scale. All we’re doing is omitting no major seventh.
Now I’m moving around diatonicly.
Now I’m adding triads. Still no major seventh.
Or maybe we start here.
Right.
Happy practicing hexatonic.
