Your home. Doesn’t this place look familiar?
Except things are a little off.
Everybody looks slightly different,
and none of them will meet your eye.
Why do they all encourage you to find a job?
Settle down, stop thinking
and stop asking questions.
Better not to think about it.
The betting office. The customers here spend eternity
placing bets on whether the dream is real or not.
You can join in, but only one bet ever pays out.
And if you lose enough, the bookmaker will send you to the basement.
And nobody ever comes back from there.
The highway. This highway stretches on forever.
But drivers keep going
because they’ve heard there’s something good waiting at the end.
You can stop at a service station.
Just don’t accept a lift from any truckers.
They’ll take you into the deepest parts of the dream.
The rave. Everybody at this party is encouraged to forget reality
in any way they can.
The DJ will try to blast the thoughts out of your head with music.
And there’ll be lots to drink.
Feel free To dance one song is powerful enough to wake you up,
but don’t bother trying to request it.
