Breaking news that child killer
Justin Stein has been sentenced for life
after being found guilty of murdering nine year old
Charlise Mutton in January 2022.

Alice, what was the reaction?
Well, Norelda,
there was no emotion from Justin Stein
as he learnt that news
that he has been sentenced to life imprisonment
as a convicted child killer.
The 33 year old has been in custody since January 2022
when he was charged with murdering nine year old Charlie Smutton,
his then fiance’s daughter.
The little girl who travelled from Queensland
to spend some time with her mum and Stein in the New South Wales
Blue Mountains during her Christmas holidays.
We know of course that she went missing during that time
and her body was eventually found in a barrel by the Colo River.
She had been at shot twice.
Stein has never admitted to his crime
and nor has he shown any shred of remorse
as we heard in court today.
The sentencing judge even commented on how
while Stein cried as he gave evidence in court during his trial,
judge said that from where she was sitting,
that was just an appearance.
She says he was completely dry eyed and did not shed a single tear.
It was in June this year that a jury convicted him
finding him guilty of murdering nine year old Charlise.
