Embracing Elegance: A Review of L Anniversary by Zerjoff

I’ve been lusting after this fragrance since I tried it
all the way back in March in Milan,
and I finally got my hands on it.
It’s called L Anniversary by zerjoff.
And would you just look at this bottle?
This is not your regular, regular fragrance.
This right here is a special fragrance
because this is the anniversary edition.
And this was made to pay homage
to the very first fragrance made by the house of zergeoff,
old L. And when I was in Milan,
I got to smell the original,
and this is much more of a contemporary,
modern take on the original.
I would classify this as a warm,
fruity floral, but done to the and degree.
In the beginning, you’re met with a mirage of red fruits,
lychee and apple, but in combination,
almost come off like a sugared watermelon.
And as this settles, you have a beautiful note of Jasmine
that’s nicely balanced with a peony that gives it a very delicate
floral touch. But on the dry down,
this goes, whoa!
Warm and woody and musky with amber,
sandalwood and patchouli.
And I do find this to have some resemblance to LA Capitale by zyrgoff,
but this is a lot more dense,
whereas this is light and airy and delicate.
So it’s sweet and vivacious and invigorating in the opening,
but then you get some delicate florals,
and then in the base is warming and cocooning.
And I think that this was a wonderful
Homage to a stunning fragrance house.
This is simple yet perfectly executed
and a fragrance that I have been thinking about for so long,
and I’m so excited to have it in my collection.
